There was no way to reach the nest, but I thought it best to leave him on the roof, the closest I could get to it. Only problem was, the parents didn't see us getting there, and if they didn't find him, it would be very hard to retrieve him: I would have to walk a few meters on a steep roof with barely a handhold, catch a frightened bird flapping all over the place, and come back holding the little bastard (he had pathetically tried to peck me).
I came back in the evening. No sign of the parents. I threw him a handful of seed but he didn't know how to feed himself. He did attempt to fly though. I thought, if I didn't see the parents in the morning, I would go and get him.
So this morning I went and looked, and didn't see him. I thought he had been able to take off. Then I looked again and I saw him in a corner, his mouth open. That's it, I'm going to get him. I called my husband so he would help me (or cry for me if I fell to my death), and lo and behold! Here comes the mommy bird to protect and feed her baby. So cute! I was relieved and happy ^_^

The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

Though this summer, I'm planning on playing Okami, Ico and Shadow of the Colossus.
And maybe I'll get around to finish FF7 with all the side-quests for once (breeding chocobos... ewwww T_T)
